Leonardo DiCaprio Lends His Gorgeous Face to a Cause Close to His Heart

Leonardo DiCaprio is one of Hollywood's biggest environmental activists, and on Thursday, he attended the Our Ocean conference in Washington, DC. At the event, which was hosted by US Secretary of State John Kerry and focused on marine protected areas, sustainable fisheries, marine pollution, and climate-related impacts on the ocean, the actor announced the launch of a new online tool to track commercial fishing called Global Fishing Watch. In his speech, Leo warned the audience against "treating our oceans as an endless resource and a dumping ground for our waste" and commended President Obama for creating the Atlantic Ocean's first marine monument, saying, "This is the kind of bold leadership we need." John even poked fun at all the attention the program was getting due to Leo's presence, asking, "How come all the cameras are out now? You didn't do this earlier."
