A Little Girl Dressed as Wonder Woman Bursts Into Tears While Meeting Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman has made a huge impact at the box office ever since it was released in June, but its powerful message and feminist heroine are reaching way beyond Hollywood. During Comic-Con over the weekend, the film's star Gal Gadot shared a precious moment with a young fan during an autograph signing with the Justice League cast. Dressed in a Wonder Woman shirt and cape, the young girl, whose name is Ashley, burst into tears when she came face to face with the actress. Of course, Gal handled the whole encounter like a total pro, reaching across the table to console her. "There's no reason to cry," Gal said before her costar Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash, added, "You're a warrior. Your ability to cry is what makes you such a warrior. Come join the Justice League whenever you get ready."

The girl's mother, Christine Keller, was so moved by the moment that she took to social media to express her gratitude. "These characters matter and can have a huge influence on young people," she said on Facebook. "What a great role model and genuine, nice person. My daughter will always remember this moment for the rest of her life. Thank you, Gal Gadot!" And Ashley wasn't the only young fan moved by the whole experience. The clip also shows a boy holding back tears as he posed for a photo with Ben Affleck, aka Batman.
