Michael Bublé and Ellen DeGeneres had a master plan to prank unsuspecting customers at a local grocery store during Friday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The goal was to help promote Bubly sparkling water while Michael pretended to be a cashier as Ellen secretly told him what to do and say through an earpiece. But they definitely didn't expect the prank to turn into a celebrity meet-and-greet.
That's precisely what happened when actor Eric Stonestreet appeared in line to make a purchase. After Michael asked him if he's "the guy from Modern Family," Eric looked a bit suspicious (probably wondering if this random cashier is actually THE Michael Bublé). "I smell something awry at my Handy Market," Eric said, smiling and looking around. Watch the two stars enter the celebrity grocery store version of The Twilight Zone before the prank is revealed in the clip above!
