Nadia Lopez on Inspiring Kids | Video

How 1 Viral Blog Post Is Giving More New York City Kids a Shot at College

One of the most lasting impressions you can leave on a child is encouraging them to find the strength to continue in the face of hardships. That's exactly what Nadia Lopez, founding principal of Mott Hall Bridges Academy in Brooklyn, strives to achieve with her middle school students. In addition to bringing education to kids in one of the poorest and most violent neighborhoods in New York City, Lopez works to provide social and emotional support in an effort to inspire kids to succeed beyond the classroom.

We've partnered with Dressbarn on More to Me, a series that sheds light on the real-life stories that deserve a voice.
