Russell Brand Threatened With Arrest Outside Fox News Headquarters
Russell Brand's feud with Sean Hannity and Fox News is heating up. In a new episode of Russell's web series, The Trews, the actor stopped by the cable network's NYC headquarters in an attempt to tour the newsroom and meet its employees. "Here we are at Fox's headquarters, all the greats are here — Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity — all the people who refuse to have us on the show," Russell says, referring to his canceled appearance on Sean's show. Russell goes into detail, explaining his thoughts on Fox's reporting of Islamic culture, accusing the network's on-air talent of perpetuating Islamophobia. Soon Russell is approached by a security officer, who asks the actor, "Do you want to get arrested?" Russell also ventures into the building, where things get even more awkward.
Donald Trump has targeted Russell and his ex-wife Katy Perry in a series of tweets after watching Russell's recent appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman, which he confused with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
I watched Russell Brand @rustyrockets on the @jimmyfallon show the other night—what the hell do people see in Russell—a major loser!

.@katyperry Katy, what the hell were you thinking when you married loser Russell Brand. There is a guy who has got nothing going, a waste!

Russell responded to one of Donald's tweets about the former couple, asking the mogul if he's intoxicated when he takes to Twitter.
.@realDonaldTrump are you drunk when you write these tweets? Or does that foam you spray on your bald head make you high?

Meanwhile, Katy hasn't acknowledged the interactions.
UPDATE: On Monday, a FOX News spokesperson shared the following statement from Hannity executive producer Porter Berry with POPSUGAR, regarding Russell's claim that a planned appearance by him on the program was canceled: "Russell Brand was never booked on the show and therefore couldn't have been canceled."
