Who Is Brie Larson's Beloved Fiancé? You Probably Already Know Him

Last year's Oscar winner for best actress, Brie Larson, was award season's It Girl after she swept all the major award shows for her role in Room, and we wanted to know everything about her, and not just all the movies we'd seen her in. With Brie back on the scene as an Oscar presenter this year and to promote her new film, Kong: Skull Island, we're back to admiring her and her handsome fiancé, Alex Greenwald. Last year, Brie shouted out her love for her man in her Oscars acceptance speech (and she revealed that they were engaged shortly afterward), so you might still be wondering, who is this guy? Well, if you're any fan of pop culture, you probably know about Alex, you just don't know how yet.

So, who is this guy who gets this look of love?

Alex, 37, is a musician who you'd know best as the lead singer of the band Phantom Planet.

Not ringing a bell? It was the band that actor Jason Schwartzman was the drummer in (Alex is on the left and Jason is on the right on this album cover).

The band was most famous for making The O.C.'s theme song, "California" — here's Alex hanging out with the cast. You definitely know it.

These days, Alex makes music with LA-based band PHASES.

Oh, and before getting into music, Alex was an actor. He terrorizes Jake Gyllenhaal as a high school bully (alongside Seth Rogen) in 2001's Donnie Darko.

Now, he plays the best supporting role to Brie. Here they are at 2016's SAG Awards, looking totally adorable.
