Roman has been with the WWE since 2010 but took a brief hiatus in October 2018 to continue battling his leukemia after it returned. The wrestler has been fighting cancer since he was 22. Thankfully, Roman is now in remission and returned to the WWE in February 2019. His signature moves are the spear and superman punch.

Before Roman found success with the WWE, he played defensive end for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Roman revealed that the best part of college football was "the relationships." "I think just the friendships . . . those relationships, having people making an impact on your life," he explained. "Especially in college, it's such a crucial time for an adult to find his way and do the right things."
