1 Late 2016: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Begin Dating

Following his split from Irina Shayk in 2015, Ronaldo moved on with Rodriguez a year later. Though it's unclear exactly when they started dating, the couple first crossed paths when the soccer star walked into the Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriguez was working as a sales associate at the time. "He's such a handsome man. When I saw him, he was so handsome I felt embarrassed to look at him," Rodriguez said during her March appearance on "El Hormiguero."

She recalled, "I was finally able to leave the shop to go home three hours later than I should have and as I was getting ready to leave Cristiano came in with his eldest son and some friends. Let's just say it was butterflies in my stomach."

Rodriguez seemed to hint at their blossoming romance on Instagram, posting photos of herself and a man hugging, though fans could only see his back and she didn't tag him.

Months later, the pair went public with their romance when they attended The Best FIFA Football Awards in Switzerland with Ronaldo's son, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro Jr.

3 June 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Welcome Twins

On June 29, 2017, Ronaldo announced the arrival of his twins via surrogate, Eva and Mateo dos Santos Aveiro, on Instagram. "So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life 🙏❤"

Speaking to The Sun on Facebook, Ronaldo said he was allowed to leave the Confederations Cup to be with his newborn twins. "I was with the national team, giving my everything as always, despite knowing my children had been born," he said. "Unfortunately, we couldn't reach our main sporting objective, but I am certain we will continue to make the Portuguese people happy."

He added, "I am very happy to finally be with my children for the first time."

4 July 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Announce They're Expecting Their Fourth Child

Weeks later, Ronaldo confirmed to El Mundo (via People) that Rodriguez was pregnant. When asked if he was excited about the baby, Ronaldo said, "Yes, very."

Rodriguez later confirmed the pregnancy herself with a photo shoot in ¡HOLA!, proudly displaying her baby bump.

On Nov. 12, 2017, their fourth child, Alana Martina, was born. Ronaldo announced the exciting news on Instagram, writing, "A Alana Martina acaba de nascer! Tanto a Geo como a Alana estão muito bem! Estamos todos muito felizes! ❤️."

Four years later, the couple shared they were expanding their family once more. "Delighted to announce we are expecting twins👶🏻👶🏻. Our hearts are full of love - we can't wait to meet you ❤️🏠 #blessed," the pair wrote in a joint Instagram post.

7 April 2022: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez's Newborn Son Dies

On April 18, 2022, the couple announced on Instagram that one of their newborn twins, a baby boy, had died. "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away," they wrote in a joint post. "It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness."

While they didn't share many details, they added: ""We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."

In the finale episode, Rodriguez says, "I really couldn't be more married. Cristiano and I are married in the eyes of God, and that's all that matters to me. He protects us and keeps us together. One day, though, a ceremony will follow."
