The up-and-coming actress first began making a name for herself as a child actor, but it was her breakout performance in Hulu's "Nine Perfect Strangers" that really cemented her rise in Hollywood — and, consequently, her name and face among fans. Presently, Van Patten is portraying Lucy Albright, a college student stuck in a toxic romance in Emma Roberts's psychological romance series, "Tell Me Lies," which is based on Carola Lovering's 2018 novel of the same name and premiered on Hulu on Sept. 7.

In December 2017, Van Patten seemingly confirmed her relationship with Nat Wolff when she posted a birthday tribute to the actor on Instagram. While the pair never publicly spoke about their romance, they did make a point to support one another's careers on social media. In May 2018, they walked the carpet together at the Christian Dior Couture spring/summer 2019 cruise collection, where Wolff gave Van Patten a kiss for the cameras.
In 2019, the couple began attending more events together, as well as costarred in the dramedy "Good Posture." An official confirmation of their relationship didn't come until Wolff's celebratory anniversary post in 2020. However, that was the last time they appeared on each other's socials. It's quite possible — especially given how private Van Patten is about her dating life — that Van Patten and Wolff are still together.
