Katie Holmes and Bobby Wooten III Met in the Most Normal of Ways

Katie Holmes and Bobby Wooten III seem totally smitten with one another. Since they were first linked together in April, the couple has started giving us glimpses into their budding romance. In May, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Moth Ball's 25th anniversary gala, and a month later, they attended the Tribeca Film Festival, where Holmes debuted her new project, "Alone Together."

Every time Holmes and Wooten III have stepped out together, they're all smiles. But how exactly did they meet? According to E! News, it was through mutual friends. "They know some of the same people who connected them, and so far, it's working well," a source told the outlet. "Katie is excited about seeing someone and is very happy. It's new, but it's going well. She enjoys having someone in her life, and he is very kind and good to her."

Like Holmes, Wooten III works in the entertainment industry. The musician and composer plays bass in "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" on Broadway and performed with Carly Rae Jepsen at this year's Coachella. The Grammy-nominated artist is also an adjunct instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. "He's an amazing guy, very kind, super talented, and just an all-around cool guy," a source told People in April. "He's a highly accomplished bassist and musician and is as chill and brilliant and funny as they come."
