"Black Knight" Star Kim Woo-Bin Is Taken — Meet His Equally Famous Actor Girlfriend

Korean model turned actor Kim Woo-Bin has had a notable career in both film and television, but he got his start in a different field: modeling. The star began modeling in 2009, and didn't actually make his debut on screen until the 2011 Korean drama series, "White Christmas." From there, he landed supporting roles in sitcoms like "Vampire Idol" and the rom-com "A Gentleman's Dignity," but got his big break in 2013 after starring in notable teen dramas like "School 2013" and "The Heirs," which opened the door for him to star in other major projects, including the 2014 film, "The Con Artists" and the series "Uncontrollably Fond."

Kim took a hiatus from acting after being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in May 2017 (via The South China Morning Post), but returned to the screen in 2022 with a number of performances, most notably, as Guard in "Alienoid" and Park Jeong-joon in the critically-acclaimed K-drama, "Our Blues." Most recently, Kim can be seen in Netflix's "Black Knight," which hit the streamer on May 12.

Outside of his busy modeling and acting career, Kim keeps his romantic life private and has only been linked to one person publicly. Since 2015, the actor has been dating "Our Blues" actor Shin Min-ah, and the two have been going strong ever since. Like Kim, Shin also started out as a model, and the two have appeared in a campaign for the fashion brand Giordano together.

Yoo Ji-ahn (2011-2014)

Before his long-term relationship with Shin Min-ah, Kim dated model Yoo Ji-ahn from 2011 to 2014, as reported by The South China Morning Post. A representative close to the couple shared the reason for the split, saying, "The two were too busy to meet up and naturally ended their relationship. Because they have known each other for a long time now, they are now just friends."

After appearing in a campaign for Giordano, Kim and Shin started dating in May 2015, per Cosmopolitan Philippines. Agents for the two released a statement in July 2015 confirming their relationship, which read (via Soompi), "[Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah] started to show interest from February, when they were shooting ads together, and officially started to meet after May."

By December of that year, Kim and Shin had busy schedules, which led many to think the couple had split, but Kim's agent calmed the rumors and issued a statement, saying (via Soompi), "Kim Woo Bin has started filming for the new KBS drama Uncontrollably Fond. Shin Min Ah, too, is currently busy filming for the KBS drama Oh My Venus. Though the two have hectic schedules, the two continue to love each other regardless."

After Kim was diagnosed with cancer in May 2017, Shin was spotted on multiple occasions at the hospital, presumably accompanying him to his treatments. Outside of short statements in interviews, the pair keep their relationship under wraps.

In 2022, the couple both starred in "Our Blues" as romantic interests to other actors, which gave fans of the couple a kick. The pair remain a couple as of May 2023.
