Lewis Capaldi Opens Up About His Girlfriend For the First Time: "She's a Lovely Lady"

Back in 2020, a 23-year-old Capaldi reportedly began casually dating 21-year-old fellow Scot Catherine Halliday. The pair were said to meet up on multiple occasions in his hometown, West Lothian, Scotland, per The Sun, and even shared a meal together at Prezzo despite his stardom status. Although the couple was said to be "very flirty" with each other, their fling didn't appear to last long.

Capaldi's most publicized relationship was with Scottish singer Paige Turley, who rose to fame in the 2020 winter season of "Love Island." He was reported to have dated Turley during their time at college in 2015, which the Islander confirmed on the reality show. Turley is still in a relationship with her fellow Islander, Finn Tapp, who she won the series with.

Captioning a now-deleted post on Instagram, Capaldi addressed their relationship: "I met a lady. She was very nice. I loved her. I loved the look of her and I loved how she spoke." He continued in the post, "We dated for a year-and-a-half, then she left me. Then I wrote an album about it and I still think about it every day."
