Napkin Notes Dad: Don't Let This Feel-Good Story Pass You By

Emma Callaghan is one lucky girl. She might just have the sweetest dad around, and although he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he's making sure he'll be a presence in her life for years to come. Garth Callaghan, aka Napkin Notes Dad, has been writing his daughter, Emma, notes on napkins and sticking them in her lunchbox since she was in kindergarten. Since then, he's battled kidney cancer twice, and there's a good chance he won't live much longer. So he's decided to write 826 notes, which guarantees Emma will have one to read every day until she graduates high school.

"Whether the quote is used to support a quiz, a big game, or just to show his love, his pen and napkin are always ready to convey the daily message," explains Garth's website. He told the Today show: "This isn't a story about cancer, because any parent at any time could be hit by a car or have a heart attack. This is really about leaving a legacy so that she can understand some of my life philosophies and how much I love her." See some of his notes below.
