Angelina Jolie's Hard Work Has Paid Off — Big Time

Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning continued their Tokyo press duties for Maleficent when they attended a photocall for their new film on Tuesday. The two actresses were joined at the photo-op by Japanese actress Aya Ueto, who does the Japanese voice of Princess Aurora in the translated version of the project. Angie chose to leave her children back at their hotel for this event, but she did have them on hand when the whole gang posed for photos at Tokyo's Haneda Airport over the weekend ahead of the film's Monday night premiere. Angie and Elle's promotion efforts appear to be paying off as Maleficent has officially surpassed the $500 million mark in worldwide box office sales, making it Angelina's highest-grossing film, ever. (Her previous biggest blockbuster was 2005's Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which earned $478.2 million worldwide.) Despite her busy press schedule, Angelina still found time to host the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in London earlier this month. The event focused on a cause close to Angie's heart — sexual violence against women in war zones — and drew support from Brad Pitt and also from George Clooney's fiancée, Amal Alamuddin.
