Older sibling: Beyoncé
Even though she and Beyoncé look nearly identical, Solange has always seemed to dance to the beat of a different drum. Child psychologists say that younger children will typically go out of their way to live life differently than their older siblings, purposely moving in a different direction in order to be content on their own terms. This is true with Solange when it comes to her career; instead of going the pop star route like Beyoncé, Solange pours her love of music, style, and culture into DJing, photography, and art curation. In a heartfelt Mother's Day letter to her daughters, Tina Knowles called Solange her "rebel warrior," adding, "Whether in your music, fashion or your life, you truly are your own incredible, unapologetic person."
