2009-2011: Katy Petty and Taylor Swift Spend a Lot of Time Tweeting at Each Other

Swift has since deleted most of her tweets, but Perry's remain, and they document a strong and affectionate friendship, with both sides complimenting each other frequently on the social media app. In a 2009 tweet, Perry called Swift "sweet as pie" and suggested they write a song together.
