Jessica Simpson Wants Her Daughter to Run Her Billion-Dollar Business Someday

Jessica Simpson had the support of her family at NYC's Tavern on the Green on Wednesday night as she stepped out to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her fashion line, the Jessica Simpson Collection — can you believe it's been a decade? The blond bombshell showed off her curves in a fitted black Galvan jumpsuit as she posed for photos with her parents, Joe and Tina, and her husband, Eric Johnson, who gave her a cute kiss on the red carpet. Jessica and Eric touched down in the Big Apple earlier this week and were spotted holding hands while leaving their hotel on Tuesday. Later, Jessica made an appearance on The Tonight Show, where she showed host Jimmy Fallon adorable photos of her kids, Maxwell and Ace, and revealed how tech-savvy they already are.

Jessica's kids were on her mind at the party, too. We caught up with Jessica there and asked if, someday, her daughter, Maxwell, might join the family business.

"I feel like the business we've created — my mom and I — will be passed down to my daughter and hopefully she can maintain it," Jessica confessed. "I see future. I always look to the future. There's never a looking back to me. There's always success that is out there waiting to be achieved."

The Simpson women have created something very big together. The Jessica Simpson Collection is a billion-dollar business, and Jessica credits the brand's good fortune to her mom.

"I don't think I ever set out to be successful. But the moment it started happening, I couldn't wait to have a daughter to teach success to," Jessica said. "I feel like my mom has done that for me. She's paved the way."
