Ben Affleck Looks Happy During a Trip Back Home to Boston

Ben Affleck flashed a huge smile on Thursday when he stepped out in his hometown of Boston. Ben, who is preparing to direct and star in the highly anticipated Prohibition Era crime drama Live by Night, went back to the East Coast to scout locations for the film. During his happy outing, the actor took a break to chat with a small group of enthusiastic fans. Ben, who is still sporting scruffy facial hair, even took a few smiley selfies with the women.

Ben's outing comes on the heels of a dramatic Summer for his family. After announcing his split from his wife of 10 years, Jennifer Garner, in June, the actor has been hard at work trying to keep things as normal as possible for their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. In addition to spending his birthday together in August, the couple most recently stepped out for a dinner date with friends.
