In June, Ariana Grande was caught licking doughnuts in a display case, then saying, "I hate America," by a security camera. After the footage came out, Ariana posted a video on her YouTube page to clarify her actions and told fans that she's "proud to be an American." She claimed the comment was made toward America's food industry and unhealthy eating habits. The singer also shared regret for how she expressed herself, adding, "I should have known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better . . . That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words."
