Prince Charles is a fan of personalized gifts that will last a lifetime. For Princess Charlotte's christening, he gave his granddaughter a solid silver Georgian picture frame engraved with his insignia. The proud father also had a treehouse built in the grounds of Highgrove House for his young sons, William and Harry, which has recently been refurbished for Prince George.

Kate's uncle is also a fan of tailoring the gift to the individual. When Prince George was born, he put together a time capsule — a large chest containing newspapers from the day of his birth, the 10 bestselling albums of the year (including One Direction, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, and Mumford & Sons!), a copy of the number one book One Day, a copy of Big Issue, a DVD of Andy Murray winning Wimbledon that year, and miniature England football and rugby kits. He also bought George and Charlotte shares for his favorite football team, Chelsea, while William and Kate got an Asprey backgammon set when they married.

Her majesty certainly knows how to make a statement. She gave Prince Charles a DB6 MKII royal-blue Aston Martin for his 21st birthday — the very same one that William drove Kate away in on their wedding day. She also gifted William a house for his 30th birthday — 10-bedroom Anmer Hall on her Sandringham Estate.

When it comes to wedding gifts, one of Kate and William's favorites is sure to have been the one from Kate's brother, James — their beloved pet dog, Lupo. The 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel is the offspring of Michael and Carole Middleton's dog Ella, and Lupo took pride of place in both Prince George's first and second official family portraits.

The Transylvanian aristocrat is an old friend of Prince Charles and manages his property portfolio in Romania. When Prince George was christened, the count gifted him with a wildflower meadow in the Transylvanian hills, saying, "If we sent him flowers, they would wilt."

Kate's sister really went to town when it came to the christening of her nephew, Prince George. Giving a crafty homespun idea a hefty dose of bling, it was reported that she had casts of George's hands and feet made in solid silver and engraved with his name and date of birth by Wrightson & Platt.

William has gifted Kate with many stunning pieces of jewelry with hefty price tags since they got married, but in their courting days, one of his first gifts to her was a Victorian ring set with garnets (Kate's birth stone) and pearls (William's birth stone). He also bought her a pair of binoculars for Christmas and took her to the Seychelles after their short-lived breakup.

When William turned 30, Kate bought him a rough and tumble watersports experience in the freezing-cold Irish Sea — and he loved it! They celebrated his milestone at their then-home in Anglesey on the Welsh coast, and she paid for him to be pulled along by speedboat in a rubber ring.
