"If you look at statistics, they show that kids between the ages of 6 and 17 are only spending 30 minutes a day outside," she said. "When I was a kid, we spent all day outside. We had the best time and we were enjoying our childhood and making mud pies, and not coming home until the street lights came on. It's just so important to be outside and get vitamin D. So, part of this campaign is encouraging everybody to get outside."
