Dwayne Johnson may have a tough exterior, but make no mistake, he has a heart of gold. In addition to making us laugh and being extremely handsome, the actor has proven time and time again that he isn't afraid to show his softer side — he's even teared up on live television. Just because we love him so much, we've rounded up some of The Rock's sweetest moments.

In October 2016, The Rock met with troops in Hawaii in honor of the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

In April, the actor posted this adorable moment between him and his daughter, Jasmine, in honor of her 4-month birthday.

Earlier this year, Dwayne paid a special visit to Savannah's Pediatric Specialty Ward, where he met with several sick children, including little Aliya, who's pictured in the photo above.

For the most part, Dwayne likes to keep his family life out of the spotlight, but when his daughter graduated in 2015, he wrote her the most adorable congratulatory note.

Over Valentine's Day weekend, Dwayne posted a precious clip of himself feeding his little girl, Jasmine.

While driving around his neighborhood in 2015, The Rock stopped to take a photo with a few lucky fans, who were standing by the side of the road holding up signs with his name on them.

Dwayne shared a terrifying story about how he saved his two dogs, Hobbs and Brutus, from an almost-fatal pool accident in September 2015.

Over the holidays, The Rock posted a clip of himself singing to his baby girl, which of course melted hearts everywhere.

Earlier this year, the actor made hearts swell when he shared a cute video of his nephew playing with a toy train that he had fixed for him.

In an Instagram post dedicated to #TBT in May, Dwayne honored his late friend, Jay Veltri, who passed away "from cancer within a year of taking this pic."

In 2013, The Rock took a break from filming Hercules to play a game of Patty Cake with one of the producer's daughters.

It's no secret that The Rock is a big mama's boy. He's always gushing about her, and in April, he shared a sweet story about the time he surprised her with a car for Christmas.

He took time away from his busy schedule to meet with a young boy with special needs while shooting scenes for Baywatch in late April.

After wrapping up his HBO show, Ballers, the actor kindly thanked the crew, and even gave one lucky lady a hug before heading out.

In early May, the star gave his mom a sweet Mother's Day shout-out, writing, "Happy Mother's Day Mom! I'm a lucky son to have a mom like you. And I'm a grateful son as well to watch you inspire all of those around you with your love, kindness and strength. Thank you... for everything."

The Rock continued to prove he has a heart of gold when he spent an entire day with 7-year-old Tater, who's "been battling cancer for 4 years now," on the set of Baywatch.

Dwayne couldn't help but get emotional when he spoke about his superclose bond with daughter Simone during an episode of Oprah's Master Class.

After hearing about 16-year-old Fernando's cancer diagnosis and his wish to meet him, The Rock had a special shirt made for him, which read, "Fernando's Fight. Strength, Courage, Determination," and presented it to him on the set of one of his movies.

Back in November, the proud father announced his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, was expecting a baby girl by sharing this precious photo along with a message that read, "I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more...IT'S A BABY GIRL!!"
