They're Incredibly Honest About Their Relationship

Unlike your typical celebrity marriage, Dax and Kristen have made it a point to tell the world how being in a successful relationship takes patience, practice, and a lot of work. "One thing I like to reiterate is that we've done a lot of work on our relationship. We're very focused on staying together," Kristen said in an interview. "We've made a choice to love each other but realize relationships are a lot of work. I think it's responsible to be honest about that. We earned our relationship, which we're very proud of."

Dax had similar things to say, getting real about just how hard they fight to make sure their relationship stays strong while speaking with Good Housekeeping: "There were hurdles, things she didn't trust about me, things I didn't trust about her. I just kept going back to 'This person has the thing I want, and I have to figure out how we can exist peacefully.' So we started [seeing a therapist together] right away."

Their Obsession With Game of Thrones

Think of the biggest Game of Thrones fan you know. OK, now multiply that by, say, 20, and you might have something akin to the love Kristen and Dax share for the hit HBO fantasy show. The couple attended the season six premiere decked out in matching tanks and elaborate temporary tattoos, which they documented on Instagram. "Dax and I went to the premiere of #GOT last night. Everyone was in suits and dresses. People were sipping cocktails. We were in tank tops that said 'Stark in the streets, Wildling in the sheets,'" Kristen captioned her photo of them. "We sported temporary tattoos that said Ours Is The Fury and Winter Is Coming. At one point I lifted a cantaloupe in the air and said 'this egg shall change history' and ran out the fire exit."

So far, the actors have appeared in Hit and Run, When in Rome, Veronica Mars, and the upcoming Chips remake together. Not to mention, they're currently in a whole bunch of supercute commercials for Samsung. "We're lucky enough to be able to get to work together a lot, like it's always a joy to do these Samsung commercials because we get to spend the whole day together," Kristen told POPSUGAR in May. "Dax just directed Chips at Warner Brothers, and I was lucky enough to get a role in that, so we got to work together there as well. We certainly enjoy working together." Aw!

Their Homemade Music Video

As a great philosopher who we can't remember the name of at the moment once said, "Nothing says 'I love you' quite like filming a homemade music video while in Africa." Kristen and Dax decided to do just that while on vacation before their daughters were born, recording some epic dance moves and mouthing the words to Toto's "Africa" in an effort to "rage hard and honor Toto properly."

They Stand by Each Other No Matter What

It seems like famous couples are breaking up at the drop of a hat these days, but Dax and Kristen have proved that it's going to take way more than a few fights to end their romance. Both have opened up about how Dax's past as an addict affected the start of their relationship. "All the things I'd done were terrifying to her, and she had a hard time believing I would ever be able to stay married and monogamous and a father and all those things," Dax said in a 2012 interview. "For the first year and a half we were together, that was what we battled over almost weekly."

Kristen got teary eyed while echoing his sentiments recently to CBS's Sunday Morning: "He's a wonderful father. He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years, and he pulled himself out of it, and he's been sober for 11, 12 years now . . . and he knows how many times he's messed up and how many times he's been really close to losing everything."
