They Love to Tease Each Other

During their tour of Australia in 2015, Kate told crowds that William said she "looked like a banana" in her yellow Roksanda Ilincic dress. Later in the tour at an agriculture fair, Kate got her own back, telling William they should make him a toupee out of the alpaca hair. While they were abseiling on a UK engagement a few years later, Kate dangled William off a cliff and asked him, "William, how much do you love me?"

Meanwhile, Kate has always been a support to William. She was a trusted confidante before they were even a couple, and later as they set up home in Anglesey, she kept the house while he worked, cooking his favorite roast chicken and baking cakes for him and his co-workers.

Weekends at Anmer Hall now often involve a blend of William's best friends Thomas Van Straubenzee and James Meade and Kate's closest girlfriend, Sophie Carter.

They have raced in boats against each other on a couple of royal tours — the first time in Canada, William shouted out beforehand, "You're going down!" While even recently when they raced against each other at a Heads Together engagement, William tried to distract his wife before the race began. When boxer Anthony Ogogo asked Kate at a charity engagement if she and William are competitive with each other, he revealed, "She said they're both quite equal, and then said when they're playing Scrabble they don't usually finish because somebody's slammed it shut because they've lost."

Kate and William have an appreciation for escaping to the countryside for some fresh air but also enjoy the pleasures of urban living. William's childhood was split between Kensington Palace in London and his father's country estate Highgrove, while Kate grew up in rural Berkshire but lived in London for six years between university and getting married. The couple now happily split their time between Kensington Palace and their country bolt-hole Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
