Riley Keough and Juno Temple Recall Being Roomies: "You Walked Me Through My First Panic Attack"

The "Ted Lasso" and "Daisy Jones & The Six" stars met while filming their 2012 indie horror film "Jack & Diane," at which point they were thrown together as roommates. "I think we just met in the apartment — which is crazy, to put two people in an apartment to live together who've never met," Keough told Vanity Fair in June 2023. That period of time was a bonding experience for both of the actors. "You walked me through my first panic attack," Temple shared. "Literally, I thought I was dying, and you were like, 'No, you're not. It's okay. I know what this is.'"

In his book, "Jason Priestley: A Memoir," the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star reveals that he and Pitt lived together as young actors in the early '90s. "We lived on Ramen noodles and generic beer — the kind that came in white cans labeled 'beer' — and Marlboro Light cigarettes . . . We were broke," he wrote. "Just for fun, we used to have competitions over who could go the longest without showering and shaving," he said, adding, "Brad always won. Having to go on an audition meant cleaning up, which is what usually put an end to the streak." Gross.

Pitt was secretly dating his "Thelma & Louise" costar Geena Davis at the time, and she reportedly refused to meet up at the apartment he shared with Priestley — which makes sense.

Timberlake and Gosling starred together on "The Mickey Mouse Club" in the early '90s along with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and JC Chasez. The two appeared in multiple skits together on the sketch show and were also briefly roommates. Since the show was filmed in Orlando, FL, and Gosling's mom had to return to Canada for work, Timberlake's mother, Lynn Harless, was his guardian for several months.

Of working and living together, Timberlake has said, "We were probably a little closer than the rest of the kids that were on the show just because we had to share a bathroom."

The actors lived together before becoming famous actors, and in 1997, they went on to co-found the British film and theater production company Natural Nylon with Law's then-wife, Sadie Frost.

The "Workaholics" stars lived in the house where they wrote and filmed the hit Comedy Central series.

The pair first met in a script writing class during their sophomore year at the University of Texas at Austin. While they didn't talk in class, they later hit it off and became roommates. Together, they wrote the script for 1996's "Bottle Rocket" — which starred Wilson and his brother Luke Wilson — and went on to collaborate on a handful of other movies, including "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Rushmore," "The Darjeeling Limited," and "Fantastic Mr. Fox."

Downey and Sutherland shared an apartment in LA for three years in the '80s before making it big. Downey was going through a rough patch with girlfriend Sarah Jessica Parker at the time, and Sutherland "was a shoulder [to cry on]." "Better him than some stranger," the "Iron Man" star told Howard Stern.

The actresses lived together in Vancouver while filming "Twilight: New Moon." "We didn't go out that much," Reed told "Us Weekly" of the arrangement, revealing that the cast would often do group dinners: "Peter Facinelli is a great cook, and so he made us pasta."

Affleck and Damon famously lived together around LA while writing their Oscar-winning 1997 film "Good Will Hunting" and have remained BFFs since. "We rented this house on the beach in Venice and 800 people came and stayed with us and got drunk," Affleck told "Playboy" in 1999. "Then we ran out of money and had to get an apartment." He went on about their vagabond lifestyle: "We lived in Glendale and Eagle Rock, and we lived in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Venice, by the Hollywood Bowl, all over the place," adding, "We'd get thrown out of some places, or we'd have to upgrade or downgrade depending on who had money." Looks like it worked out for both of them.

The two met on a fashion shoot and briefly shared an apartment together — kind of. Raven has said that Lohan was so busy working that she was barely around. "She paid rent, and she was there probably three times," Raven told "Us Weekly" in 2008. "She had her clothes in the apartment we were supposed to live in together." Needless to say, the two haven't stayed close.

Douglas and DeVito lived together while going to acting school in NYC back in the '60s and seem to have nothing but great things to say about each other as roommates. DeVito admitted that "Michael did the laundry," while Douglas called his friend "a great roommate," adding, "It was a magical time, We were getting paid to act!"

They went on to costar together in four movies — "The Jewel of the Nile," "Romancing the Stone," "The War of the Roses," and "Solitary Man" — and are still BFFs over 50 years later.

While playing a couple on the verge of collapse in 2010's "Blue Valentine," directors asked Gosling and Williams to live together for a week in order to get into character for their roles. They had so much fun as roommates that they ended up living together for an entire month. "He's so hard to hate," Williams said in an interview. "He does the dishes, and he takes care of the kids!"

Michele and Agron's "Glee" costar Overstreet had a roommate in Powell, and their living situation is actually what got Powell cast on another Ryan Murphy show, "Scream Queens." In an interview about the series, Murphy said that cocreator Ian Brennan told him, "I know this guy Glen Powell, who's roommates with Chord Overstreet, and I've been out with him and I've seen him do sort of improv stuff. I think he would be great.'" That led Murphy to meeting Powell: "As soon as he read [for the part of Chad Radwell] you were like, 'Oh, my god. Where have you been all my life?'"

Crawford and Westwick asked their "Gossip Girl" costar if he wanted to live with them too, but he already had his own famous roommate in Ventimiglia. The "This Is Us" star was 28 at the time and would let an 18-year-old Badgley "borrow his ID to get into bars." In 2010, he told "Bullett," "I've still got it somewhere." P.S. That must have been one hot household.

The longtime friends shacked up together in an apartment in London. On the "Late Late Show," Corden said that they "rented it furnished," but "it had no furniture in it, and we never thought to complain." He added that they had "one bed and one piece of cutlery, which was a spatula," and that for three weeks, the only things in their fridge were a "Lindt chocolate bunny and half a Vitamin Water." Rough.

Westwick and Crawford shared living quarters while working together on "Gossip Girl" in the 2000s. "Initially Ed and I became roommates here in New York because we didn't know if the show was going to last or not," Crawford told "Interview" in 2009, just before moving to his own apartment. "Ed had never lived away from home, let alone in a different country. We got along and figured it would be a smart move financially. And really, it was also just kind of out of laziness."

The blond actresses met while they were modeling in Italy and shared an apartment after moving to LA together. When Smart married Carter Oosterhouse in September 2011, her longtime friend served as one of her bridesmaids.

Coincidentally, Damon and Affleck's respective girlfriends, Ryder and Paltrow, also lived together in LA in the '90s. They cut ties in 1998 when Paltrow reportedly stumbled upon the script for "Shakespeare in Love" lying around the house; Paltrow is said to have asked to audition for the role, and as we all know, she landed it and went on to win an Oscar.

Though Paltrow has denied swiping the role from Ryder, things came to a head again in 2009 after she launched her now-famous website, Goop. In an early article, she addresses a former friend that many speculate to be Ryder, saying, "Back in the day, I had a 'frenemy' who, as it turned out, was pretty hellbent on taking me down." She went on to write: "I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and happiness."

The "Parenthood" stars began living together after meeting on the NBC series in 2010 and have since remained BFFs. Whitman regularly shares photos of Heizer — who went on to star in the Netflix hit "13 Reasons Why" — on Instagram, and the actress told "Glamour," "I envision wanting to live in a house next to him for my whole life and grow old down the street from him."

The "Men in Black" star roomed with the former US vice president back when they were just two dudes studying at Harvard University. In 2000, Lee gave the nominating speech for his pal at the Democratic National Convention and shared some fun tidbits about their time as roommates: "I lived with him for four years. What did we do? We shot pool and watched "Star Trek," when maybe we should have been studying for exams," he told the crowd, adding, "I always knew that he had the brains and the heart to change the whole world."

This is one match we did not see coming. The actors were college roommates while studying drama together at the State University of New York. Tucci is the one who gave the "Pulp Fiction" star (real name Irving) the nickname "Ving." In 1999, the two reunited on stage at the Golden Globes when Rhames presented Tucci with the award for best actor in a TV miniseries or movie.

Williams and Christopher were roommates while studying at The Juilliard School of Drama in NYC back in the early '70s. They were the only students selected for the Advanced Program. In his 1998 autobiography, "Still Me," the "Superman" star wrote, "The first person I met at Juilliard was the other advanced student, a short, stocky, long-haired fellow from Marin County, CA, who wore tie-dyed shirts with track suit bottoms and talked a mile a minute." Sounds like Williams, all right!

The two remained friends well after college, and after the deaths of Christopher in 2004 and his wife, Dana Reeve, in 2006, Williams vowed to take care of their son, William Reeve. In the wake of Williams's own death in 2014, his children donated 87 of his bicycles, in support of the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Gosling's "La La Land" director Chazelle tapped his college roommate, Hurwitz, to compose the musical romantic comedy. Thanks to his work, Chazelle became the youngest director to win an Oscar for best director at just 32 years old, and Hurwitz took home two Academy Awards for best original song and best original score. Not bad for a couple of Harvard music nerds!

Things didn't always go smoothly for Long and Hill as roommates. The two lived together in LA in the mid-2000s, but as Long told "Watch What Happens Live" in 2016, they were "both equally pretty messy." "We started getting in little fights," Long said, adding, "He left the bathroom door open, didn't clean up after himself. Little things like that. It got to be like an old married couple. It was time for a separation." On the upside, they "laughed like hyenas" during their time together and are "still great friends."

It seems crazy to think about now, but in 2010, "Broad City" creator Glazer and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" star Bloom were two aspiring writer-actresses living together in Brooklyn. Six years later, Bloom shared a sweet collage of the two on Instagram, writing, "6 years ago we were roommates in Brooklyn and now we have TV shows," adding that Glazer is "just the best."

Apatow and Sandler met while they were both aspiring comics in LA and ended up getting an apartment together in the San Fernando Valley. Apatow has compared living with Sandler to rooming with "the comfortable naked guy at the gym," and Sandler insists that they weren't technically broke because they "could eat at Red Lobster once every month. That was a big night out." Even after Sandler moved to NYC and got a feature role on "Saturday Night Live," he continued to pay Apatow his part of the rent, just in case he got fired. What a pal!

The actress and shoe designer actually went to high school together in Boulder, CO, and have known each other since they were teens. In a 2012 interview, Atwood told POPSUGAR, "I knew she was a star so I told her to move to New York and live with me," adding, "We lived in Hell's Kitchen and we were so broke. I gave her a free subway map for her 21st birthday. It was just a special time."

While it was technically only for a week, Stone and Cooper lived together in Hawaii while filming 2015's "Aloha." When the lease was up on Cooper's place, he stayed with Stone at her house. "We were roommates," Stone said in an interview with E! News, before Cooper quickly said, "Housemates!"
