Julia and Kiefer fell in love on the set of 1990's Flatliners. After she called off her engagement to Dylan McDermott and Kiefer divorced wife Camelia Kath, the two began dating. They planned to tie the knot in June 1991 on a Twentieth Century Fox sound stage, which was decorated to look like a pastoral garden, in front of an estimated 150 guests. Just three days before their wedding, their reps announced that the event was postponed, though it was later revealed that Julia had called off the wedding completely.
On what was supposed to be their wedding day, Kiefer moved out of their shared home and Julia was spotted out with Kiefer's Lost Boys costar Jason Patric. "They had a relationship that ended and I was with her for a little while and it ended," Jason told Vulture in 2011. "They've both been subsequently married several times and I think they're fine. But we never had any issue, even back then."
