Bethenny Frankel Low-Key Packed 4 Planes With Supplies and Flew to Help Puerto Rico

Say what you want about the Real Housewives of New York City, but during a serious time of need, Bethenny Frankel has gone above and beyond to help Hurricane Maria victims in Puerto Rico. The reality star and Skinnygirl CEO didn't just donate money to relief efforts; she chartered four private planes, loaded them with supplies and EMTs, hopped on board herself, and set out to provide serious aid to the people affected by the storm.

"This is a forgotten island," she told People. "People have been living on their roofs for 13 days. It is like nothing I have ever seen. People's entire homes and cars are immersed in mud."

The planes were loaded up with more than 20,000 pounds of food, water, medical supplies, and so much more. She even flew people back to the US in her planes to get critical medical help. Bethenny and her B Strong charity are close to raising $1 million for Puerto Rico relief, and she's not afraid to get her hands dirty while helping the island.

Hurricane Maria wreaked havoc on the United States territory, leaving 16 people dead and the entire island without electricity, and Bethenny is helping by personally ensuring these people are getting the supplies they need to survive. Read on to see Bethenny's hands-on involvement in Puerto Rico's recovery efforts, and find out how you can help the devastated island here.
