Ava Phillippe May Be Dating Paul McCartney's Grandson, and I'm Just Having a Hard Time

Ava Phillippe is all grown up, and I have to accept it. The 18-year-old daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe was photographed out on a possible date in London recently and as someone who actually remembers when she was born, I have to admit that I got a little choked up. On Monday (before she chopped her blonde locks into a chic bob), Ava was spotted out and about with a guy who was first described as a "mystery man" before being identified as none other than Beatles legend Paul McCartney's 18-year-old grandson, Arthur Donald. Arthur is the son of Paul's eldest daughter, photographer Mary McCartney.

The pair had a chat while strolling down the street and headed to London hotspot Sketch for a drink — Ava was even seen showing her ID to a bouncer as she entered the bar (don't worry, anyone over the age of 18 is allowed to drink alcohol in the UK). In a fun turn of events, they later ran into actress Leslie Mann and her 20-year-old daughter, Maude Apatow. The group shared hugs before parting ways.

It's not clear how Ava and Arthur first met, but it's likely that they were introduced by designer Stella McCartney; both Reese and Ava are friends with the British fashion icon and just a few days after her cute meetup with Arthur, Ava got to wear shoes designed by Stella to the red carpet premiere of A Wrinkle in Time, which she attended with her mom. Ava also attended Stella's Fall 2018 collection launch in LA in January.

Whether or not they're actually dating, Ava and Arthur do look pretty adorable together. And you can't do much better than someone who is literally related to rock royalty. I'm rooting for you, Ava — just trust your judgment and call me if you need any advice.
