Harry and Meghan's Royal Milestones Are Even Sweeter When Seen Side by Side With Will and Kate's

After formally announcing their engagement, Will and Kate stepped out for a celebratory appearance at St. James's Palace in November 2010.

Harry and Meghan also did the same in November 2017, only they opted for Kensington Palace's Sunken Gardens.

The couple sat down for their first joint interview after announcing their engagement in November 2010. Will and Kate talked about everything, including how Will popped the question and Kate's engagement ring.

Harry and Meghan also gave their first interview to BBC after getting engaged in November 2017. Harry talked about how he wooed Meghan and what Princess Diana would think of her, while Meghan spoke about the night Harry proposed and how they met.

The couple's first official engagement was in December 2010 when Will and Kate attended a Christmas event for the Teenage Cancer Trust in Fakenham, England.

Less than a week after announcing their engagement, Harry and Meghan stepped out for their first royal appearance together in Nottingham, England. Unlike Will and Kate, Harry and Meghan showed plenty of PDA.

The first time Will brought Kate along for the royal family's annual Christmas service at Sandringham was in December 2011. Just like Trooping the Colour, only married couples can attend.

However, the queen did make an exception for Harry and Meghan in December 2017 when she allowed the duchess to attend before their May 2018 nuptials.

In February 2011, the pair returned to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland to launch a fundraising campaign for a new scholarship. The school holds a special place in Will and Kate's hearts, given that it's where the couple first met.

Harry and Meghan took an exciting trip to Scotland in February 2018. In addition to meeting with the people of Edinburgh, a sassy pony named Cruachan attempted to take a small bite out of Harry. LOL!

Just two months before Princess Charlotte's arrival, Will and Kate attended their first Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in March 2015.

Harry and Meghan attended their first Commonwealth Day service together in March 2018, and it also doubled as Meghan's first official engagement with Queen Elizabeth II.

Will and Kate's first Anzac Day service took place during their tour of Australia and New Zealand in April 2014. The holiday honors all of those who served and died during wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

In April 2018, Harry and Meghan represented the royal family during the service at Hyde Park Corner in London.

One of the most memorable moments in British royal history was when Will and Kate tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in April 2011.

Also on the list are Harry and Meghan's May 2018 nuptials at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Will and Kate's first garden party at Buckingham Palace took place during the queen's Diamond Jubilee in May 2012.

Harry and Meghan's first official appearance as a married couple took place during Prince Charles's 70th birthday celebration, just days after their nuptials. Everything appeared to go smoothly — that is, until a bee went rogue and attacked Harry while he was giving a speech.

Even though Will and Kate had been dating since college, the couple didn't make their debut at Trooping the Colour until June 2011. Royal protocol states that only married couples can attend, so the duo attended two months after their wedding.

Harry and Meghan made their Buckingham Palace balcony debut during Trooping the Colour in June 2018, just one month after tying the knot.

Will and Kate were all smiles during their Royal Ascot debut in June 2016.

Two years later, Meghan and Harry made their Royal Ascot debut (in similar outfits, I might add).

Kate's first christening with the royal family was that of her firstborn, Prince George, back in October 2013.

Meghan's first foray into a royal baptism (aside from her own, of course) was in July 2018, when she and Harry attended the christening for Will and Kate's third child, Prince Louis.

In July 2011, just a few months after their wedding, Kate and William were off on their first royal tour together — covering 11 days in Canada and LA.

In October 2018, Meghan and Harry embarked on their first royal tour as a couple — over 16 days, they covered cities in Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.

These days Kate is a pro at the whole "I just had a baby" thing, but when she first emerged after giving birth to Prince George on July 22, 2013, the excited new mom made headlines by putting her postbaby belly on display for the world to see (and accept). Kate and Will celebrated the future king's birth with a photo op and gave interviews to the waiting press before putting their new baby in his car seat and heading home.

On May 8, 2019 — two days after giving birth to son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan and Harry greeted the press from Windsor Castle with their newborn. The couple bucked tradition by having proud dad Harry hold the baby, and when asked how motherhood was treating her so far, Meghan said, "It's magic, it's pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I'm really happy."
