Meghan Markle's First Patron Visit Combines Her Passion For Equal Opportunity and Fashion

Meghan Markle might be giving birth to a royal baby this year, but that doesn't mean her schedule is slowing down just yet. Following the announcement on Thursday that Meghan is taking on the role of patron for four charities, she spent the morning visiting one of the organizations, Smart Works, which is a charity that "helps long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain the skills, confidence and tools to succeed at job interviews, return to employment and transform their lives."

This isn't the first time Meghan has visited the charity. Smart Works said "we have been honored to welcome The Duchess to our West London center and see her engage with our clients and volunteers. Her empathy and insight were obvious." Not only is support and coaching offered, but the charity goes even further in helping women succeed in the workplace by providing them with high-quality clothes for job interviews. During her visit on Thursday, Meghan joined discussions with volunteers as well as the women who have been successful in finding work, thanks to help from the charity.

Meghan isn't the only patron for the charity. Other patrons include actress, comedian, writer, and producer Jennifer Saunders and fashion designer Betty Jackson CBE, as well as ambassadors including Samantha Cameron and Isabel Spearman OBE. It's safe to say the duchess is in good company. Ahead, get a look at the Duchess of Sussex's first visit as royal patron.
