The Jonas Brothers Go Full Nerd For Their Paper Magazine Cover Story, and I'm SCREAMING!

The Jonas Brothers just took us way back for their Paper Magazine cover story. After making adults turn back into teenagers over their reunion earlier this year, the brothers decided to play off of that nostalgia for their hilarious photo shoot. In addition to going full-on nerd for the cover, Kevin, Joe, and Nick also re-created those awkward family portraits your parents forced you to take when you were younger, ugly sweaters and all.

In the cover story, the brothers also look back on their Disney Channel roots and how they've evolved as artists since then. "Though we felt limited at times, bottom line, Disney was really good for us; really good training wheels for anybody that wants to become a musician or entertainer, as far as work ethic and all the rest," Nick explained. "[Those years] are a major part of our story and a big way that our fans connect with us and continue to today. It might be tougher to accept . . . But we have to continue to make new statements and push ourselves to create who we are, every day." He added that their new album, Happiness Begins, will include new sounds, including trap beats and even a yee-haw moment.

While it took a lot for the brothers to get to the place they are at now — Kevin added that there were a lot of "heavy" conversations, which are shown in their new documentary Chasing Happiness — they're excited to have fun this time around. "It's been so overwhelming and so exciting. It means so much to us to be able to do this again as brothers," Kevin explained. "The choice to do this wasn't out of need, it was more, 'This is something we really want to do together.'"
