Prince Louis Makes Prince William and Kate Middleton Laugh With His Superb Waving Skills

Prince Louis made his first public appearance at London's annual Trooping the Colour on Saturday. The adorable 1-year-old stayed close to parents Prince William and Kate Middleton while rocking a white shirt and blue shorts — an outfit that was reminiscent of siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte's previous debuts at the event.

Louis seemed to be soaking up the spotlight when the family stepped out onto the balcony. The tot was especially intrigued by the flypast of military aircraft as he looked toward the sky in awe. But perhaps the sweetest moment was when he got to show off his royal wave, and boy did he show it off! While Kate — whom he shares a striking resemblance with — held him, the little prince began to passionately wave to and fro, giving his mom a good laugh. And when Kate passed him off to William, he continued with his top-notch greeting. (Meanwhile, big sis Charlotte was showing him how it's really done, opting to wave with not one, but two hands.)

Our hearts have already melted from glimpses of Louis sleeping soundly, his first birthday portraits, and him playing around with his siblings. But this snippet of his spirited wave? This might be our new favorite Louis moment.
