Here's What Barack Obama Has Been Up to in 2019

The former president and Stephen Curry headlined the first-ever national convention for Barack's My Brother's Keeper Alliance in Oakland, CA. The organization aims to "bring together hundreds of young men of color," and the three-day event included a discussion about reducing youth violence, growing impactful mentorship programs, and improving life outcomes for boys and young men of color.

Barack made time to cheer on the North Carolina Tar Heels as they faced the Duke Blue Devils.

He then jetted off to Spain, where he served as a guest speaker at the World Travel & Tourism Council summit in Seville.

Shortly after, Barack paid a special visit to Berlin, where he met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and joined hundreds of European leaders for a town-hall conversation about the future of Europe and the importance of change in the region.

He then popped up in Bogota and attended the EXMA (the largest marketing platform across Ibero-America) conference. He reportedly made $600,000 for his speech!

He squeezed in another sports event when he showed up to watch the Toronto Raptors take on the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Finals in Toronto. Barack also requested that Drake "behave himself" during the game. LOL!

Barack recently enjoyed a family vacation with Michelle and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, in France. In addition to doing some sightseeing, the brood celebrated Father's Day with a private dinner in Avignon and linked up with U2's Bono.

The former president is currently in Lake Como visiting pals George and Amal Clooney. I wonder if they'll be making a pit stop in London to visit their other friends, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, before they return!

Barack paid a special surprise to a group of Urban Alliance interns, and naturally, they were overjoyed. "As you guys know, part of the goal of this program is to expose you to what's possible. Also to make sure you recognize that even as you succeed, the communities from which you come are going to need you to be active and engaged and focused," Barack told the students. "You guys are just such good role models for so many people your age."
