Alison Brie Joked About the Weird Adjustment She Had to Make With Her Husband as Her Director

Some know her as Ruth from GLOW or Trudy from Mad Men, but to her husband Dave Franco, Alison Brie is "babe" or "honey." The gorgeous actress recently sat down on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she opened up about the weird dynamic shift that took place when she was being directed by her husband. "We've worked together as actors before but never in this capacity," she told the host, laughing about how during the first day and first scene of filming, she couldn't help but call Dave "honey."

She even had to pull him aside and ask if he wanted her to call him Dave on set. "He was like, 'Could you call me David Franco? I need you to be professional,'" she said jokingly. Despite the professional atmosphere, that didn't change their love language. "We're a real babe and honey household. It was a full babe and honey set," she said. Dave made his directorial debut with the film The Rental, set to release next year starring his wife.

The duo first met at a Mardi Gras parade in 2011 and officially tied the knot in 2017.
