Kate Middleton's Surprise Outing at RHS Wisley Included So Many Cute Moments With Kids

Kate Middleton is back into the swing of royal duties after spending the Summer vacation with her three children. Last week, the duchess sent 4-year-old Charlotte off to her first day of school and 6-year-old George returning for another year, and on Tuesday morning, she returned for the start of her official royal duties.

Kate surprised guests by officially opening the Back to Nature play garden at RHS Wisley in Woking, England, attending along with former The Great British Bake Off host Mary Berry. She stepped out wearing a breezy, floral Emilia Wickstead dress for a fun-filled day exploring the gardens and speaking with lucky guests. The sweet visit resulted in some adorable moments between Kate and the children in attendance, including one toddler in particular who reached for the duchess, causing Kate to go into full mom mode and cradle the child's head. The duchess also rode on a tractor, delivered a speech on the importance of the outdoors, and showed the children around the gardens.

The Back to Nature garden is a project Kate has been working on all year long to encourage young children to play outside for the benefits of early development and mental health. The garden features a range of interactive elements for children to play on, including trampolines, swings, and tree houses, and is the third Kate has opened to encourage outdoor play. Back in May, she took her own children to the Back to Nature Chelsea Flower Show Garden, resulting in some incredibly sweet family moments.
