Hilaria and Alec shared the news that they welcomed a sixth child together, a daughter named Maria Lucia Victoria, on March 1, 2021, via surrogate. The announcement came just six months after Hilaria gave birth to Edu in the form of a photo Alec took of Hilaria with all six of her babies.
Days later on March 4, 2021, Hilaria opened up on Instagram about how much her birth meant to her and the couple's older kids. "Our hearts are filled with so much gratitude. The Baldwinitos craved so much to have a little sister . . . We are living each day, bonding, and grateful for all of the very special angels who helped bring Lucía into the world." She concluded her post by highlighting that Lucia and her fellow newborn older brother, Edu, are practically like twins in the family. "María Lucía Victoria and Eduardo Pau Lucas: our babies who bring light into our lives—almost like twins, we love you so much."
