Ryan Reynolds Gifts Hugh Jackman With a Birthday Serenade Right Before Trolling Him

Hugh Jackman turned 51 on Oct. 12, and his frenemy Ryan Reynolds was there to wish him a happy birthday. Of course, Ryan couldn't just send him a card or post a sappy Instagram tribute. Instead, he shared a hilarious video of him passionately singing "Happy Birthday to You." But before he belted the tune, Ryan addressed Hugh dissing him on stage during a Chicago concert on Oct. 11. (After a performance, Hugh jokingly called out his friend, saying, "Let's see Ryan Reynolds do that.") Needless to say, Ryan was less than pleased with the wisecrack.

"I saw what you said. In a word? Hurtful," he says in the birthday clip before showing off his pipes. After singing, Ryan takes one last swipe at the birthday boy, adding, "And I'm not even f*cking professionally trained, Jackman, you piece of sh*t."

Hugh and Ryan — who costarred in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine — have been embroiled in a friendly feud for years. They even got Jake Gyllenhaal involved in their squabble. Whether they're trolling each other on Best Friends Day or mocking their respective businesses, Hugh and Ryan's friendship/enmity is one of the internet's greatest treasures.
