Meghan Markle Steps Out Amid Royal Meetings — and, of Course, It's For a Good Cause

The Duchess of Sussex has made her first public appearance in Canada. It's been just a number of days (two to be exact) since the queen released a statement detailing her meeting with Prince Harry, Prince Charles, and Prince William to discuss the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to step down as "senior" members of the royal family. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle has been spending time in Canada with her and Harry's son, Archie.

However, it seems that Meghan hasn't just been seeking the quiet of Canadian life and caring for her son. True to her philanthropic nature, the duchess has also been taking the time to visit a charitable organization. Vancouver Downtown Eastside Women's Centre welcomed Meghan on Tuesday and made sure to pose for a photo with her. The group photo was shared on the center's Facebook page with the caption, "Look who we had tea with today! The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, visited us today to discuss issues affecting women in the community. 💜" Many of the Facebook comments are in support of the duchess, noting that regardless of personal opinions, it's positive that she's drawing attention to important causes and those in need. That same day, Meghan was all smiles when she was spotted boarding a seaplane. The duchess braved the chilly weather in a green Barbour jacket and a pair of Le Chameau boots.

Amid all of the royal "crisis" talks and meetings, it's good to see Meghan looking happy and well and continuing the work she is so passionate about. There is no word yet on when (or if) Meghan will be returning to the UK to begin the "complex" process of mapping out the young family's future, as well as fulfilling their wish to become financially independent.
