Prepon and Ben's first child, a daughter named Ella, was born in August 2017. However, fans didn't get a peek at the little one until October 2018, when Prepon shared a photo of little Ella on the set of "Orange Is the New Black." Although Prepon hasn't shared many photos of her daughter and doesn't ever show her face, we know from her handful of pictures of the little one that she has great blond curls like her mama did when she was a kid.
In 2021, Prepon opened up about the challenges of new parenthood, and also shared some details about her daughter's changing interests. "If motherhood has taught me anything so far, it's that something can work out for a period of time, and then you move on and evolve from that," she told People at the time. "As a new mom, I was riddled with anxiety that I had never experienced before. My friends who were mothers with older kids said, 'Laura, this is a phase, you'll move on, and then it will be something different.' And that has transcended into other parts of my life. We're all evolving. I always see that with my kids. They are changing every day now," she continued. "My daughter is outgoing and wonderful and obsessed with mermaids — it used to be unicorns. She's also very determined and does not give up."
