Camryn Grace Ferguson
Allyson and Kenneth's first and only child, a daughter named Camryn — or "Cammy" — was born on Nov. 28, 2018.
Since having Camryn, Allyson has been focused on showing the world what a strong mother looks like. Just 10 months after giving birth, Allyson broke the record for the most gold medals ever won by a single track-and-field athlete in IAAF World Championships history. Then, ahead of her first race at the Tokyo Olympics, Allyson shared a powerful and passionate letter she wrote for her girl about her achievements.
"I had you after four Olympic games, six gold medals, three silver. Yet my greatest accomplishment is you. Do you know what they said after I had you? They said I'd retire, that I was too old to complete, that I couldn't get my body back in shape, but Cammy, here I am to prove them wrong," she said. "From the terrifying moments of fighting for my life to the long days in the NICU, you made me stronger than I ever imagined . . . I've had a lot of titles, but by far, Mama is my favorite."
Kenneth has also been known to gush about his daughter. On Cammy's second birthday, the dad shared a sweet birthday photo of his toddler, writing: "I hope you know how much daddy loves you. Nothing in this world is beautiful as you, except your mom who is now a super close second.😂 I want you to chase your dreams, touch the sky on your little tip toes. Never forgot how worthy you are!"
