"The Wilds" Star Aidan Laprete Is Also a Badass Musician

Laprete began taking ukulele lessons at Roy Sakuma Ukulele Studio when he was 4 years old. At 8, he performed "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train at the 2010 Ukulele Festival. The YouTube video of his performance quickly went viral, raking in more than 20 million views and earning praise from Train singer Pat Monahan. In February 2013, he made his music video debut in Train's "Mermaid" video, which was filmed in Honolulu.

"I play the ukulele, but it's not like the traditional Hawaiian way," Laprete told West Hawaii Today in 2016. "I play pop, folk, and rock music. I use a loop station, which means when you record something, it loops, and then you record over it, and that loops. It's a really cool tool."
