Jonas and Chopra announced the arrival of their daughter in January 2022. On April 21, 2022, People reported that the new parents had named their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. She was born just after 8 p.m. on Jan. 15 at a hospital in San Diego, per the birth certificate obtained by TMZ.
The new parents have since given us glimpses of baby Malti here and there on social media. On Oct. 25, 2022, Jonas shared two photos of the family of three celebrating Malti's very first Diwali on Instagram. In the first photo, he holds Malti while Chopra beams, and in the second, Chopra cradles their baby girl while Jonas sweetly holds her hand. "Such a beautiful Diwali celebration with my ♥️," Jonas wrote in the caption. "Happy Diwali everyone. Sending joy and light to you all."
Chopra also shared a glimpse into the celebration on her Instagram, and her photos showed off the elegant event as well as her adorable family. "Love, peace and prosperity to all," she wrote in her caption. "From a heart truly laden with gratitude, I wish you all a Happy Diwali. Sorry I'm a little late but decided to stay in the moment just a little bit longer..From ours to yours. Love and light."
