Giancarlo Esposito's 4 Daughters Are His Favorite Red Carpet Dates

Giancarlo Esposito had a special date when he attended the 2023 SAG Awards on Feb. 26: his daughter, Ruby Esposito. The duo enjoyed the award ceremony together and even snapped a sweet selfie on Instagram prior to walking the red carpet. Two days later, Ruby and her sister, Kale Esposito, joined their dad for "The Mandalorian" premiere in Los Angeles. Noticeably missing from both events were Giancarlo's two other daughters, Shayne and Syrlucia Esposito, but that doesn't mean he isn't just as close with them.

Giancarlo shares his four girls with ex-wife Joy McManigal, whom he was married to for 20 years before their 2015 divorce. Despite their split, Giancarlo remains a dedicated father and has been vocal about how his children have changed his life for the better. "If you were to ask some of my buddies from an earlier time in my life, they might say it is universal payback," Giancarlo told Best Self about being a father to four daughters in October 2022.

He added: "I have always loved women, and another surprising thing that people may not know about me is that I am a recovering womanizer. Today, I would rescript that and tell you that my girls have helped me reshape my relationship to myself, my lineage and others…and that's a beautiful thing. They have taught me, each in their own way, the greatest gifts of my life — to pay more attention, to listen more, to respect women on a whole other level and to come clean. And they call me out all the time."

Ruby Esposito

While the exact year of Ruby's birth is unknown, according to her Instagram, she was born in October and is in her 20s. Ruby is a visual artist, filmmaker, and creative director. She lives in New York City and also worked as the second unit director/assistant director on the miniseries "The Broken and the Bad," which was hosted by her father. Other credits on Ruby's résumé include nearly 10 years of experience in video editing, a documentary with Van Jones, and working as a high school teaching assistant in a film class.

Ruby appears to love to travel and is an activist who stands for important causes like Black Lives Matter. "My children have taught me to free myself of what was learned in the world, to peel back the layers," Giancarlo said in his interview with Best Self. "It has helped me reconcile my past. They have reminded me to have fun, to be in this moment, this present moment."

Kale Esposito

Kale was born in 1998 and her Instagram shows she has a vision for photography, both in front and behind the camera. She often shares sweet throwback pics of her family and documents the events she attends with her dad. Not much is known about Kale's career, but it's clear from social media how proud Giancarlo is of her. "Had a beautiful #Emmy experience with my sweetest Angel daughter Kale!" he captioned an Instagram photo with her from the award ceremony in 2021.

Shayne Lyra Esposito

Of all the sisters, Shayne — who was born in 1997 — is the least public about her life. Her Instagram account is private, but it does show her support for Black Lives Matter in her bio. Like her other sisters, Shayne seems to have a good relationship with her family. The other three girls often tag her in photos, and Shayne has been by her dad's side at multiple events over the years.

Syrlucia Esposito

Syrlucia was born in May 2000, and graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont in February, according to her Instagram. Like her siblings, Syrlucia loves to travel and is all about her family, often praising her sisters on social media.
