Rob's first son was born on Sept. 24, 1993. According to People, Lowe decided to relocate to Santa Barbara from Los Angeles after his birth to keep his family out of the spotlight. "I moved my kids out of Los Angeles, immediately. I've lived in Santa Barbara for 20 years almost. I've had my picture taken there three times," he previously told the outlet.
Matthew grew up with different aspirations than his father's, going on to study history at Duke University, where he graduated in 2016, per his Linkedin. After obtaining his undergrad, Matthew attended Loyola Law School and worked as a law clerk before earning a degree in law in 2019. He currently works as the founder of LH Capital, "the family office of the Lowe and Hermes families," and a venture capital investor with Miroma Ventures.
Matthew joined his dad and younger brother, John, on screen in the 2017 docuseries "The Lowe Files," which followed the trio as they explored unsolved mysteries and supernatural locations.
Reflecting on the relationship with his dad, Matthew told People in 2022, "[Whether it's] me going off to college, or to law school, he's always the cheerleader... He's the first one to do absolutely anything to help you succeed."
