Jack's first son, Samuel, was born on June 10, 2006, as reported by Access Online. For the most part, the actor kept his son out of the spotlight as he grew up, but has revealed a little bit about him as he has gotten older.

In a 2022 interview with People (The TV Show!), Jack shared that his oldest son has a bit of his creative genes. "Sammy, my 15-year-old, gets a kick out of some of my stories that I tell him about Hollywood adventures...He was like, 'Hey, can I make a movie about some of your Hollywood adventures? But I won't say that it's you,'" he told the outlet.
