Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Congratulations are in order for Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who are expecting their first child together this autumn. The news was confirmed on Wednesday morning, May 19, on The Royal Family's official social media channels.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby later this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news," wrote The Royal Family on Instagram. Beatrice is also a stepmother to Edo's son Christopher Woolf, known as "Wolfie," from a previous relationship.

Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi married on July 17, 2020 at Windsor, and their new baby will arrive just after their one-year anniversary in autumn of 2021. The birth could not be more perfectly timed, as Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, gave birth to her baby boy, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, with husband Jack Brooksbank in February 2021 — so the newest additions to the royal family are bound to be the best of friends.
