Serena Williams Threw Daughter Olympia a Surprise "Moana" Party For No Reason

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian know how to make sure their daughter, Olympia, feels special all the time. On Dec. 28, Williams shared a photo on Instagram of a little celebration the pair threw for their 5-year-old daughter. In the pictures, the family posed with a balloon arch and an actor dressed as Moana from the Disney film. And what was the occasion? Nothing!

"Sometimes we surprise @olympiaohanian with parties," the tennis legend explained in the caption. "We don't need a reason or a special occasion we make everyday as special and memorable as we can. Also her mama fast . . . ."

Both parents often post photos and videos of their daughter on Instagram. One of Ohanian's favorite things to do for his daughter is make multicolored pancake creations, often with Olympia's help. On Dec. 18, he posted a video of them making a Princess Daisy pancake together. But not all their efforts are that successful. On Christmas Day, Ohanian posted a video of a hamburger pancake he made, and Olympia was deeply unimpressed.

Earlier this month, the couple revealed the over-the-top Christmas gift they got for their daughter: a pony! "I surprised @olympiaohanian with a new member of the farm family," Ohanian wrote on Instagram. "She already named her: Daisy." Both parents shared adorable snaps of Olympia posing with her present.

Earlier this year, Williams told Vogue that she was "evolving away from tennis," though she doesn't like the word "retirement." She explained that part of the reason for her decision is that she wants to grow her family without worrying about competing while pregnant, but she's left the door open for a return to tennis. For now, her last tournament was September's US Open.
