We Declare Taylor Swift an Honorary Brit After Accepting an NME in Brixton Holding a Glass of Wine

Taylor Swift has called London home for the past few years, and last night, while accepting an NME award in Brixton, she may have finally earned her title as an honorary Brit. Taylor walked on stage to accept the best solo act in the world award with a large glass of white wine in her left hand, took a big gulp (a woman after our own heart), and said, "This is, like, the craziest award show I have ever been to." Adding to the wonderfully weird moment was the trophy itself, which is an oversize golden middle finger. Posing with the award following her win, Taylor basically channeled the vibe I hope to carry through 2020.

The NME awards are kind of known as the Grammys' chaotic British cousin, and honestly, last night was exactly that. Piers Morgan was delighted to win the villain of the year award, while Billie Eilish won best song in the world from afar. Taylor Swift was also seen cuddling with her longtime parter Joe Alwyn, which never happens. Like I said, chaos. Ahead, see all the best photos of Taylor accepting the award and proudly holding up her middle finger . . . we mean, holding up her trophy at the NME awards.
