Wayne Brady and Daughter Maile Masako Are an Adorable Pair on the 2023 Tony Awards Red Carpet

Wayne Brady and his daughter Maile Masako Brady made a sweet appearance together at the 2023 Tony Awards on June 11. The duo posed on the red carpet before the awards show at the United Palace Theater in NYC.

Maile, 20, has started to follow her dad's path into the world of Hollywood. On the acting front, she previously appeared as Tiffany on the soap opera "The Bold & the Beautiful" alongside her dad. Plus, she's popped up in some episodes of Wayne's game show "Let's Make a Deal." She's also started to make some moves in the music world and released a single, "Exhale," in 2021, and frequently shows off her dancing skills on Instagram. Her mom is dancer Mandie Taketa; Wayne and Taketa divorced in 2007.

Maile also has a younger brother, Sunny, who Taketa and her boyfriend Jason Fordham welcomed at the end of 2021. Wayne posted on Instagram at the time that he was planning on being a "Duncle" to the little guy, writing, "I love this little man already. They say it takes a village to raise a child and they're right!" He continued, "The village of @mandietaketa, myself, and @jasonmichaelfordham raised @theofficialmailebrady. All children will know is love if that's what you show them."

As for Wayne, he's keeping his slate of projects very full. On June 7, he announced that he'll soon be on Broadway as the Wizard in a new revival of "The Wiz." "So you wanted to meet The Wizard? Well, you've come to right place because I'm coming back to BROADWAY!!!" he wrote on Instagram. The production is touring the country before coming to Broadway in the spring of 2024, though Wayne is only performing limited tour dates. Maybe Maile will be back with her dad at next year's Tonys to celebrate him.
