Warning: Major spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War ahead!

Avengers: Infinity War is filled with a bunch of Marvel superheroes joining forces to stop big bad Thanos on his quest to collect six infinity stones, which will help him obliterate half the universe. Although they were unsuccessful in their mission, it's still a treat to see the original Avengers onscreen together after watching them in solo films over the years.

We were pumped for our favorites such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America to reunite, but one Avenger who was glaringly absent from the action was Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). The tiny superhero who made his Marvel debut in 2015's feature of the same name doesn't have an appearance in the film, but that doesn't mean there's no mention of him.

In fact, it is explained that Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang, is under house arrest following the events that unfolded in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. As the story goes, Lang took a plea deal with the government in order to be closer to his family. Because of this, he's unable to help out the gang during its clash with Thanos, even though his manpower would've been useful.

The next time we see Ant-Man will be in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp, due out in theaters July 6. The movie takes place before the devastating events that occur in Infinity War, so hopefully, by the end of the film, we'll get answers on whether we can expect to see Ant-Man (and the Wasp) make an appearance in Avengers 4. Until then, we have this kickass Ant-Man trailer to hold us over.
